Sitemapgenerator.ai ("we", "our", "us") is an online service that generates XML sitemaps, checks URL health, and schedules automatic site re-crawls. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

2. Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account data — your email address when you create an account. We do not collect your name unless you provide it.
• Site URLs — the website addresses you submit for crawling. These are stored so you can view your crawl history and manage your sitemaps.
• Crawl results — the list of URLs discovered and their HTTP status codes during each crawl. This data is tied to your account.
• Billing data — if you upgrade to Pro, payment is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy. We receive confirmation that a subscription is active but never see your card number or full payment details.
• Usage data — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps). These are used for security monitoring and aggregated analytics only.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide, operate, and improve the service.
• To send transactional emails — account confirmation, password reset, subscription receipts.
• To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for advertising or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate the product:

• Lemon Squeezy — payment processing and subscription management. Subject to the Lemon Squeezy Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — hosting and edge infrastructure.
• Cloudflare — DNS, CDN, and DDoS protection.

5. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. If you use an analytics tool in the future, this policy will be updated.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data and crawl history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate statistics may be retained indefinitely.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws, including:

• Access to the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Portability of your data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection to or restriction of certain processing activities.

8. Security

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
